Our Journey & Our Purpose

The life of this world is all but a test for us all. Along our journey of this life ,we will encounter difficulties, some easy and some extremely testing our faith and patience, some pleasant and rewarding. We are all tested by Allah ultimately to bring us closer to Him each time, to aid us in our journey to the Hereafter, in hope of acceptance of entry into Jannah (Paradise).

But what are the requirements needed to gain entry into Jannah (Paradise)?

"Worship Allah and associate nothing with Him"

(Qur'an. Surah An-Nisa [The women] 4, verse 36)

"O mankind, worship your Lord who created you and those before you, that you may become righteous."

(Qur'an. Surah Al-Baqarah [The Cow] 2, verse 21)

"There shall be no compulsion in [acceptance of] religion. The right course has become clear from the wrong. So whoever disbelieves in Taghut (false deities) and believes in Allah has grasped the most trustworthy handhold with no break in it. And Allah is Hearing and Knowing."

(Qur'an. Surah Al-Baqarah [The Cow] 2, verse 256)

Worshipping Allah is not just down to performing the 5 obligatory prayers (Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib & Isha), prayer is a significant part of worship yes, but there are other significant worshipping that we ought to be aware of. Such as remembering Allah in all that we do:

Remember Allah SWT before you eat, upon awakening, when entering & exiting the home, whilst travelling, when we are alone, before & after exiting the lavatory,  and the list goes on. By remembering Allah in all that we do, we are strengthening our belief. for example, if we were to approach the idea of sinning; if you have the remembrance of Allah clear in your head and know of the consequences of doing such a sin, it would deter you from doing it and you would gain reward in the Hereafter too, SubahanAllah (Glory be to Allah). comparing it to having no recollection of Allah upon approaching such sins and gaining bad deeds in return. Remembrance of Allah is crucial for us Muslims, in order to keep us in check, to prevent and deter us from committing acts/sins which Allah is either displeased with or has prohibited us from doing.

Worship Allah as though you see him, For He surely sees you!

Whatever we do, whatever we say, however we say it, all our actions and most importantly our internal intentions; should all be to please our Creator. Every failure, victory, loss, calamity. [You can read upon 'intentions' in the blog tab > Blog]

Everything in this life is a test on how we do, whether we do the right thing and follow the way of the prophet SAWS. We have been given the guidance through the Prophet Muhammad SAWS. There are six books which are considered to be most authentic these are as follows:

Sahih Al-Bukhari: Compiled by Muhammad al-Bukhari.

Sahih Muslim: Compiled by Muslim ibn Al-Hajjaj.

Sunan Abu Dawood: Compiled by Abu Dawood.

Sunan Al-Tirmidhi: Compiled by Al-Tirmidhi.

Al-Sunan Al-Sughra: Compiled by Al-Nasa'i.

Sunan Ibn Majah: Compiled by Ibn Majah.

Hadiths are the words, actions, attributes or approvals of the Messenger Muhammad PBUH, which have been narrated and compiled into books in which are above, and there are more but these six books above are the most authentic, the most genuine and reliable narrations.

Allah sent His Messenger PBUH to call all of mankind to worship none other than Allah alone. Prophet Muhammad PBUH conveyed the revelation that was sent down to him from Allah, it is obligatory to obey him:

"He who obeys the Messenger (Muhammad), has indeed obeyed Allah."

[Qur'an. Surah An-Nisa 4, verse 80]

We ought to navigate through this journey of our life, living in fear of Allahs punishments and in hope of His rewards, and look at life as though it is short, because it is and the Hereafter is forever. And to always remember Allah in times of ease and times of difficulty, continuing to make dua, for He will always answer your sincere duas.
