Whoever knows himself knows his Lord

"Whosoever knows himself knows his Lord."

[Hadith]

The above hadith implies that when we gain knowledge about ourselves, it leads to gaining knowledge about our Creator.

When we study ourselves and how we have been created, our bodily functions, the way in which we have been designed, with this knowledge it ultimately redirects us back to the Creator, the Fashioner, the Shaper, the Giver of Life. It is He Who, "made from water every living thing." [Qur'an: Surah al-Anbiyah (The Prophets) 21, verse 30].

It is important to be aware of yourself, to get to know yourself, to understand you! And by doing so you will come to know the Almighty, the Merciful, The Creator.

Can you explain the functions and capabilities of our internal organs? For instance, what is the purpose of the kidneys, and why do we have a liver?

It is a known fact that the human heart maintains a steady rhythm, beating between 60 and 100 times per minute. Additionally, the eye blinks approximately 10 times per minute, serving the purpose of moisturizing and safeguarding the eye from potential irritants. Furthermore, the kidneys perform a crucial function by filtering an impressive 50 gallons of blood each day.

Aisha Bint Abu Bakr, may Allah be pleased with her, narrated that the Prophet, peace be upon him, said,

"Every one of the children of Adam has been created with three hundred and sixty joints; so he who declares the Glory of Allah, praises Allah, declares Allah to be One, Glorifies Allah, and seeks forgiveness from Allah, and removes stone, or thorn, or bone from people's path, and enjoins what is good and forbids from evil, to the number of those three hundred and sixty joints, will walk that day having saved himself from the Fire."

[Sahih Muslim 1007a]

It is remarkable that the Prophet accurately mentioned the number of the body’s joints so precisely, at a time when the determination of such measurements of human anatomy would not have been possible, unless revealed to him by Allah.

Scientists have only recently discovered the amount of joints, bones and muscles within the adult human body in 2010. Yet the earliest mention on the amounts of joints was mentioned over 1444 years ago.

"He created you from one soul. Then He made from it its mate, and He produced for you from the grazing livestock eight mates. He creates you in the wombs of your mothers, creation after creation, within three darknesses. that is Allah, your Lord; to Him belongs dominion. There is no deity except Him, so why are you averted?"

[Qur'an: Surah Az-Zumar (The Groups) 39, verse 6]

Allah created us all, with a variety of languages, colours, races all from a single soul, which was Adam (peace be upon him). And from Adam He created Hawa (Eve) his wife, peace be upon her.

"And of the grazing livestock are carriers [of burdens] and those [too] small. Eat of what Allah has provided for you and do not follow the footsteps of Satan. Indeed, he is to you a clear enemy."

[Qur'an: Surah An-Anam (The Cattle) 6, verse 142]

"He produced for you the grazing livestock eight mates." Here Allah has made clear which are lawful, eight pairs; a pair of goats, a pair of sheep, a pair of camels and a pair of oxen (cattle). "[They are} eight mates - of the sheep, two and of the goats, two." [Qur'an: Surah An-Anam (The Cattle) 6, verse 143] "And of the camels, two and of the cattle, two." [Qur'an: Surah An-Anam (The Cattle) 6, verse144]

It is Allah who creates, forms, and designs you within your mother's womb. The three layers of darkness of the placenta serve as a protective barrier for the unborn child.

If Allah had willed He could have made a child come into being without the waiting process, but it is Allah's will that  there are stages in the creation of a child before coming into being, which are (1) the anterior abdominal wall. (2) the uterine wall. (3) the amniotic sac.
