Love
It was reported that Aishah, may Allah be pleased with her, said, “The Prophet Sallallahu alayhi wa salaam was asked, ‘Which deed is most beloved to Allah?’ He SAWS said, ‘ The most regular and constant deed even if it were little.”
We must love for the sake of Allah. But most importantly we must love our Creator, for many reasons most importantly the fact that he hand picked us to be Muslims. To remove our veils and set us on the straight path He laid for us. That alone is truly a beautiful gift from the Rahman. Some people haven’t been given this beautiful gift yet, but we have been chosen, chosen by no other than Allah SWT Himself, to be blessed with the given knowledge of the everlasting and unchangeable Qur'an, with the belief in the Oneness of the Rahman and the Prophet Muhammad sallAllahu alayhi wa sallam, the seal of all Prophets, who was gifted with the revelation of the Qur'an through Angel Jibril (Gabriel), for all mankind.
"Say, [O Muḥammad], "If you should love Allāh, then follow me, [so] Allāh will love you and forgive you your sins. And Allāh is Forgiving and Merciful."
(Qur'an: Surah ali-Imran [the family of Imran] 3, verse31)
Allah's love is beyond anything we could ever.....love. His love is nothing compared to our suggested love on this earth. He gives permission for our hearts to beat without our permission, believers or not. And all He asks for in return is that you worship Him alone, without any associates.
The Most Exalted says, "And do good; indeed, Allah loves the doers of good." (Qur'an: Surah Al-Baqarah [The Cow] 2, verse 195). The kindness that Allah loves can be achieved through fearing Allah and being conscious of Him with our deeds, words and actions. As such that when a Muslim is to speak or do any action and even down to your thoughts, we should say to ourselves, would Allah be pleased with these words, that action or this thought? Therefor we need to develop self-awareness.
Truly, such beautiful qualities are amongst those loved by Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala, for He says, "Indeed, Allah loves those who act justly." (Qur'an: Surah Al-Maidah [The Table] 5, verse 42).
The Prophet Sallallahu alayhi was sallam said, "If Allah loves a person, He calls Jibril (Gabriel), saying, 'Allah loves so and so, O Gabriel love him.' So Gabriel would love him and then would make an announcement in the Heavens: 'Allah has loved so and-so therefore you should love him too.' So all the dwellers of the Heavens would love him, and then he is granted the pleasure of the people on the earth."
Allahs beauty is so immense that we cannot see Him in this world, for if He were to manifest to us His Glory, it would burn everything in existence. “And when Moses arrived at the appointed and his Lord spoke to him, he said, 'My Lord, show me [Yourself] that I may look at You.’ [Allah] said, 'You will not see Me, but look at the mountain; if it should remain in place, then you will see Me.’ But when his Lord appeared to the mountain, He rendered it level, and Moses fell unconscious. And when he awoke, he said, 'Exalted are You! I have repented to You, and I am the first of the believers'.” (Qur'an: Surah Al a'raf [The Heights] 7, verse 143)
We must understand that Allah SWT is above this world, meaning He is too Great to show Himself here. But as believers we believe that although we don't see Allah with our eyes, we know that He is there through the many blessings He has placed around us and within us. And those He loves, those He gives knowledge to, He allows them to find comfort in these signs and blessings. To love Allah SWT is to know Him, He has many names and attributes, for us to know who He is and what He is capable of. [you can find the beautiful 99 names of Allah in the tab above]
