Protect your heart

Al-Ghazali once said, "True happiness is that of the Hereafter."

The Hereafter is not yet known and only Allah knows what the outcome will be for each and everyone of us. But as Muslims we ought to have the end in mind and that is to attain our main goal of entering Jannah (Heaven/Paradise). Be in this world, this life with the aim of pleasing Allah, with every step we take, with every action, every word or gesture.

Do not become so attached to this worldly life that you forget Allah, forget and neglect your duty to Him. To do these and to still say you are Muslim is incorrect. You have become a hypocrite, one who believes in the Book (Qur'an), but not follow the guide or the Sunnah (the way of the Prophet PBUH), and only follow their lusts and desires.

Iblis (Devil/Satan) and his clan distort the truth, they make things seem as though they are not so bad in your eyes,

"Its ok to take my hijab off, loads of Muslim girls don't wear hijab, I'm still a believer. So what if I curse and use bad words now and then, doesn't make me a bad person. Yeah, I have friends of the opposite gender, its not like i fancy them or anything. Ok, i talk about people behind their back, but so what they do the same about me and its not like I do it all the time, its just now and then."

Shaytaan, whispers these kind of ideas into your head, to entice you and make them seem unimportant and trivial. But, the second that enticing idea is there, it is up to you whether you eradicate it or let it fester and build up to the point where you are actually doing the action. and the second you do that action it will be written down. Do you ant to be one of those with a heap of bad deeds on the day of judgement, no i didn't think so. So be quick to erase those thoughts from entering and then growing into a desire. Protect your heart by learning to be more aware of your thoughts, actions and speech, these are connected to your heart.

"O You Who makes hearts steadfast, make our hearts steadfast in adhering to Your religion."
