He is Pure, with no imperfections, no weaknesses, no shortcomings and evil is not attributed to Him. He is far far beyond what our perspective is of perfection.

Allah loves cleanliness and there are many hadith which describe how Prophet Muhammad would do his ablution, when to perform it, and where to and where not to perform it. Examples include before prayer, washing our hands before and after eating, clipping our nails on Friday before Jummah, and keeping our appearance clean and tidy.

{He is Allah, other than whom there is no deity, the Sovereign, the Pure, the Perfection, the Bestower of Faith, the Overseer, the Exalted in Might, the Compeller, the Superior, Exalted is Allah above whatever they associate with Him.} (59:23)

Although it is important to clean our bodies and clothes, it is equally important for the inner, meaning that we should be mindful to have positive thoughts (especially of the Creator al-Qudus) and others, and our speech is very important too.

{Whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth is exalting Allah, the Sovereign, the Pure, the Exalted in Might, the Wise.} (62:1)

The kind of speech which Allah dislikes and how and what we could change it to:

- Telling lies -- start by telling the truth and become the one who is honest and trustworthy

- Yelling and screaming -- speak gently, but assertively and firmly without the need to draw unnecessary attention to you.

- Name-calling (name which is disliked), insulting -- call people by the name their mothers gave them otherwise by the name which is liked by Allah, and not to use offence names.

- Being rude -- to be kind to others, patience is sometimes needed if the other person/people are being rude to you.

- Swearing or saying -- to use only good words.

Treat people how you want to be treated. If you find yourself speaking badly about others or to others in a manner which Allah dislikes.

Good deeds come in many ways and are pleasing to Allah. Allah SWT dislikes certain actions and deeds:

-Stealing

-Hurting others, whether physically, verbally or emotionally

-Laziness

-Cheating

-Disobedience to parents

-Dishonesty

So we now know that we must in order to become pure, be aware of our speech and actions, to make them pleasing to our Creator. alongside this, we must practice our deen, following the sunnah and Qur'an.

Purification of the heart is not just a one-off procedure, it is an ongoing practice we need to implement into our lives in order to not stain our hearts.

Here is a list of some of the things we need to be aware of within ourselves:

relying on other than Allah
